Weighted pseudo almost periodic solutions of N-th order neutral differential equations with piecewise constant arguments

In this work, we present some existence theorems of weighted pseudo almost periodic solutions for N-th order neutral differential equations with piecewise constant argument by means of weighted pseudo almost periodic solutions of relevant difference equations.     

Piezoelectricity of ordered (ScxGa1-xN) alloys from first principles

First-principles calculations are performed to compute the e₃₃ piezoelectric coefficients of GaN, ScN and (Sc_xGa_1-xN) alloys exhibiting an alternation of hexagonal GaN, with hexagonal ScN along the c-axis. For Sc compositions larger than 50%, each atom has nearly five nearest neighbors (i.e., the ground state exhibits a phase that is five-fold coordinated). On the other hand, Sc-deficient (Sc, Ga) N alloys adopt a ground-state that is four-fold coordinated). The magnitude of e₃₃ in the Sc-deficient ideally ordered (Sc_0.25Ga_0.75N) is found to be larger than the magnitude of the corresponding e₃₃ coefficients resulting from the compositional weighted average over the hexagonal (h-ScN) and the wurtzite (w-GaN) parent compounds. On the other hand, the e₃₃ coefficients of the Sc-rich ordered (Sc_0.75Ga_0.25N) is found to be negligibly small. In addition, e₃₃ piezoelectric coefficients in ordered (Sc_0.5Ga_0.5N) exhibit quite large magnitudes, due to the nonpolar to polar transition occurs at Sc composition x = 0.5, and thus can bridge the corresponding coefficients of (Ga, In) N and ferroelectric alloys. The microscopic origins for this huge enhancement in the piezoelectric behavior in Sc-low and Sc-intermediate alloys and the role of each atom are revealed and discussed.     

Oscillation of solutions of parabolic differential equations of neutral type

In this paper, we investigate a class of parabolic differential equations of neutral type, and obtain some sufficient conditions of the oscillation for such equations satisfying two kinds of boundary value conditions.

Interference theory: Moment solution for two component adsorption chromatography

Summary Moment analysis is used to study two component perturbation chromatography with linear non-equilibrium adsorption. The interference between components is included through the adsorption equilibrium. In this work, the expressions for the first and second moments of two component pertubations have been obtained for the first time. They are just the vectorization of those for the single component system, and they clearly show the interference between components. These results could be applied to establish an experimental procedure to measure adsorption equilibrium and kinetic data.

玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体中的超流现象

在玻色－爱因斯坦凝聚（BEC）的超流现象的研究中，人们通常采用平均场近似下求解Gross-Pitaveskii方程的方法，我们采用更严格的准确对角化的方法对弱排斥相互作用下两维旋转N－Boson体系的凝聚状态进行了研究，研究表明，弱相互作用下的基态并不是人们通常认为的单一凝聚态，而是一个碎裂凝聚态，通过碎裂态能谱与平均场方法给出的能谱之间的比较以及条件几率分布函数的计算，我们指出这种碎裂凝聚态有着内在的不稳定性，很容易破缺到一个单一凝聚状态；计算给出的条件几率分布可以用来揭示破缺石的状态，其分布图案与平均场近似下得到的涡旋图形相类似，我们进一步注意到过去研究工作主要集中在弱相互作用极限下和强相互作用Thomas-Fermi近似极限下这两种极端情况，为考察两种极限间的中间过渡区域，我们研究了中等相互作用强度下体系的基态性质。

Boundary Value Problems for Ordinary Differential Equations with Deviated Arguments

We discuss differential equations with nonlinear boundary conditions. We formulate sufficient conditions under which problems with deviating arguments have quasisolutions or solutions. To obtain the results, we apply the method of monotone iterations.
